It's been some time since I've posted here at I was busy trying all kind of new stuff. Well, some new, and some not so new or even completely outdated...

I've decided to make my fellow Internet Marketers benefit from all that time spent researching, trying, learning, by sharing some of the best information products out there. I have access to thousands of these but I have only selected the best ones for you.

Now, this is where it gets interesting... If you're not on my mailing list yet I would strongly suggest you sign up, as my most faithful readers (so, those that receive my newsletter!) will be offered a free $12 coupon during the launch week. That's right, when I open The Library (hopefully in a few days), I will send out an e-mail  to announce it, and you'll get the opportunity to download some of the books for free. Since most of them will cost less than $10 this means you'll be able to order at the very least one or maybe even two, at absolutely no cost to you!

Hi all,

I've been extremely busy those last couple of days fine-tuning the site - as it is brand new there were still a few things to change and adapt - but now that it is ready I can go back to "normal operations". So my next task will be to write that OpenOffice / LibreOffice tutorial you probably already know about. Since it's going to be a rather big e-book, I'll publish temporary versions as I go, so you can start working on the first pages while I write the next ones. You should start regularly checking the list of available free e-books within a couple of days from now if you're interested in this one.

Several new e-books are currently being prepared and will be released during the next two months - as all my e-books, they will be free for all my members:

  • How to create your own e-books with OpenOffice / LibreOffice (this one will be an introduction for beginners to the most common techniques required to make your own e-books properly),
  • How to create your own squeeze page,
  • How to use a secret traffic source I have just discovered (and that I am currently testing, I will write this e-book once its efficiency is confirmed).

If you wish to be kept informed when these are released, sign up today.

Hagerstown resident Kelly Renner, 50, was not shy Wednesday about her opposition to the proposed Stop Online Piracy Act, or SOPA, that Congress is considering.

She said online companies should not be required to make sure people are not getting content for free illegally on their websites.

"I don't think they can completely control it," she said. "I don't think there is any way they can stop online piracy 100 percent."

Renner, who owns Carol and Company on West Washington Street in downtown Hagerstown, was among city residents who offered their opinions when asked about SOPA on Wednesday.

SOPA is a bill that, if passed, would give the federal government more power to crack down on copyright infringement by restricting access to websites that host or allow pirated content.

Wikipedia was among a number of popular Internet sites that shut down Wednesday in protest of the bill.

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that was created to establish rules for commercial email, including commercial messages, and gives recipients the right to opt out of email campaigns. The CAN-SPAM Act also spells out tough penalties for violations. The law doesn't simply apply just to bulk email. It pertains to all types of commercial messages, which includes electronic mail messages which have a primary purpose of commercial advertisement or promotion. The law makes no exception for business-to-business email. Thus, all email must comply with the law.

Your insurance agency must understand the rules of the CAN-SPAM Act. Ignorance is not a suitable defense. Each separate email in violation of the CAN-SPAM Act can result in fines of up to $16,000. Here are the 7 key components of the law:

  1. Don't use false or misleading header information.
  2. Don't use deceptive subject lines.
  3. Identify the message as an advertisement.
  4. Tell recipients where you're located.
  5. Tell recipients how to opt out of receiving future email from you.
  6. Honor opt-out requests promptly.
  7. Monitor what others are doing on your behalf.
